China Abrasive Materials Weekly Price (12-18 July): Abrasive prices continue upward trend
This week, due to the recent stable market demand, most white fused alumina manufacturers have no inventory pressure, and product prices have also remained firm. However, in view of the cost pressure caused by the increase in the price of raw material alumina, some companies intend to increase the price. It is expected that the price of white fused alumina may rise in the coming week.
This week, the price of brown fused alumina remained stable after rising. Affected by the safety production policy, smelting enterprises in Dengfeng city of Henan Province are still in suspension, and the market supply is tight. In addition, some local processing enterprises are preparing to resume production, but the brown corundum blocks are still purchased from outside, and the production cost is at a high level. In summary, it is expected that in the coming week, due to multiple factors such as corporate electricity price increases, raw material prices, and no inventory pressure, some brown fused alumina manufacturers plan to continue to increase prices and expect that brown fused alumina prices may continue to rise.
Due to the continuous increase in the price of raw material anthracite, black silicon carbide abrasive manufacturers continue to raise their product prices by about RMB 50/ton in this week. In addition, due to high production costs, manufacturers intend to firm up prices and refuses to sell at low prices. It is expected that in the coming week, the price of black silicon carbide may remain firm.
This week, due to the rising prices of raw materials such as petroleum coke, most green silicon carbide manufacturers raised their quotations. It is expected that in the coming week, considering the acceptance of downstream abrasive companies, the price of green silicon carbide abrasives may show an upward trend.
